This Cookie Policy explains how Pixelo Mobile Ltd (trading as LycianWay) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit lycianway.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember information between visits — for example, that you are logged in, or which language you prefer. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which we also use.
When you first visit the site you are asked to either "Accept all" cookies or use "Essential only". You can change your preference at any time by clicking the button below:
Your preference is stored in the lw-cookie-consent item in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data will also clear it and re-prompt you.
Essential cookies are required for the site to function and are set regardless of your consent choice:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
lw_admin_jwt | Admin authentication (only if you log in to the operator admin) | 30 min |
lw_admin_refresh | Admin session refresh | 7 days |
lw-cookie-consent | Remembers your cookie choice | Permanent (until cleared) |
lycianway-tokens | Hiker login session (JWT access + refresh) | Permanent (until logout) |
lycianway-user | Cached user profile for instant page render | Permanent (until logout) |
lycianway-lang | Language preference | Permanent (until cleared) |
lw_lang_prompted | Remembers whether we've asked about language | Permanent (until cleared) |
lycianway-is-provider | Caches whether you're a provider (for menu rendering) | Permanent (until logout) |
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics (Google LLC), set only after you click "Accept all", and never while your browser sends Do Not Track (section 5). It records which pages you view, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and your approximate location, worked out from your IP address. We do not send it your name, email address or account details. On lycianway.co.uk, PostHog (PostHog Inc., EU cloud in Frankfurt) is set on the same terms. It records the pages you view and what you click and, if you are signed in, it also receives your account ID, email address and role.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics — a random ID that tells repeat visits apart | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics — keeps the current visit together | 2 years |
ph_*_posthog | PostHog (lycianway.co.uk only) — an ID that tells repeat visits apart (a random one, or your account ID once you sign in) and keeps the current visit together; the same data is kept in your browser's local storage | 1 year |
Marketing cookies — none. We do not run a tracking pixel, retargeting, or advertising ID on the website.
Certain pages embed content from third parties that may set their own cookies:
These cookies are governed by the third party's own privacy policy. See the Subprocessors section of our Privacy Policy for links, and Map tiles from OpenStreetMap for the maps.
We treat a browser-level DNT: 1 (Do Not Track) signal as "Essential only": Google Analytics does not load in a browser that sends it, even if you clicked "Accept all" before. We run no marketing tracking.
